Rogue or Rogue Snail is a brazilian video game developer and company headquartered in Brazil and founded by Mark Venturelli,co-founder of Critical Studios, on October 2nd, 2013. They are notable for their work on Star Vikings Forever, Relic Hunters Zero and the upcoming Relic Hunters Legend.

Relic Hunters Zero[]

Relic Hunters Zero is a top-down, 2D, shooter developed by a collaboration between Rogue Snail and Goto8. The game features the crew of the Asteroid Dungeon Nemesis trying to reclaim the legendary Relics spread out throughout the galaxy while fending off the forces of Duke Ducan. The game was created in 2015 under the motto of 'Updated Forever' and has Xbox controller support, 2-player Co-op and a 12-stage story mode. Relic Hunters Zero is 'forever free' and open-source.

Relic Hunters Legend[]

Relic Hunters Legend is the upcominggame and spiritual successor to Relic Hunters Zero, sharing the same shooter mechanics, top-down, 2D style and 2-player local co-op, but with a new art style consisting of a blend between 2D and 3D, deeper RPG mechanics, a new character, online co-op and a deeper focus on the story. The game was announced in 2016 and is expected to be released sometime in 2018. While the game will be free, for the first few months after release players will need to spend real-life money (supposedly 20$) to access the game and there could possibly be Downloadable Content, or DLC.

Rogue Snail's 2015 Chroma Squad won Game of the Year and Best Sound at Brazil's Independent Game Festival, as well as being a runner-up for Best Design. Relic Hunters Zero had won an award for Best Entertainment Game BNDES Award, Big Festival at 2015, with Dungeonland winning an award for Best Art and Best Sound at the Brazils Independent Game Festival and H.I.V.E., an independent game by Mark Venturelli made in 2008, won an aware for '1st place' at the Microsoft XNA Challenge.
